Nick Curtin, a born and raised Oklahoman, graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from The University of Oklahoma in 2003.  He chose to use his license to pursue his love of community pharmacy, accepting a position at May’s Drug store in Tulsa.  After just a year as a staff pharmacist, he advanced to Pharmacy Manager. Five years later, Nick and his wife, Amie, took the plunge into an independent pharmacy, opening Curtin Drug as a startup pharmacy in 2008.  Over the last 14 years, Nick has grown their family pharmacy through traditional and compounded prescriptions, immunizations, and clinical services. Nick has been an active preceptor, contributing to pharmacy students by challenging them to rethink how community pharmacy should be practiced. Nick was especially honored to receive the OU outstanding preceptor award for 2016-17. Beginning in 2019, Nick took on the role of District 1 council member for the Oklahoma pharmacy association. This began a drive towards professional advocacy.  Through OPHA and individual time with state and federal legislators, Nick has helped in the advancement of the pharmacy profession. Nick is a proud husband to his wife Amie and their three children Nathan, Will, and Sabrina.  He enjoys travel, gardening, and a variety of outdoor activities.
