OPhA hosts a Legislative Day once a year to join pharmacists, technicians and students at the state capitol. We gather together, meet with legislators, and make our voices heard about legislation that could impact our profession.
Our Legislative Day is the best way to build relationships with our legislators and protect the future of the pharmacy profession.
Start the day by gathering with your fellow professionals and learning about current legislative issues. We’ll spend the afternoon meeting individually and in small groups with legislators at the Oklahoma State Capitol to build relationships and share our perspectives on issues.

LEGISLATIVE DAY 2025 was a sucess!
We had over 200 attendees to the 2025 OPhA Legislative Day at the Capitol. We had an informative line up of speakers beginning with Michael Leake and his team from the Attorney General’s office and subject matter expert Lucas Coody with AlignRx. We then heard from Speaker of the House Kyle Hilbert, Senate President Pro Tem Lonnie Paxton, our Senate bill author Todd Gollihare, House bill author Preston Stinson, pharmacist and House Representative TJ Marti, pharmacist and Senator Lisa Standridge, Board of Pharmacy Executive Director Marty Hendrick, Senator Brent Howard and our final speaker of the day was Attorney General Gentner Drummond.
In between speakers we heard personal testimonies from members about the value of relationships with their legislators and OPhA.
Our OPhA bill is SB789 and one main component of the legislation is a reimbursement floor of NADAC + 6% + a $15 dispensing fee. It also prohibits effective rate contracts. Sen. Gollihare shared that SB789 will be heard on the Senate floor on either March 25th or 26th. STAND READY TO COME TO THE CAPITOL AND HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD!
